The LRT-1
Building a bespoke car, whether it is a race car, or the ultimate street-track day Supercar, has always been a goal for Buddy and LRT.
The concepts and ideas for the LRT-1 have been developing for many years, bred and refined over nearly four decades working in professional racing.
Those who follow LEE Race Technology over the next few years will have a unique vantage point to see this unique, bespoke design car come to life.
Here is an outline of some of the basics of the LRT-1 at this point
- Bespoke design body and chassis
- Front Engine – 700-800 horsepower is the target
- Rear Transaxle, 6-speed sequential shift, dog-drive, paddle shift
- Two-seat coupe design
Here are several of the conceptual sketches
The top left corner shows a sketch of the side view of the nose/front of the car. The front splitter will be easily removable for “street” driving, but can be re-installed in minutes for a track day event.
As you will see there are elements of many car designs, including AC Cobra, Ferrari 275 GTB, Panoz LMP1, and others.
CAD SCREEN SHOTS (LAST UPDATED 08/11/2019)
With the exception of the CAD model of the engine, and the output flanges of the (eventual) gearbox, all parts are bespoke to LRT. The wheels, body surfaces, suspension, brake discs, hub, wheel nut etc.
